Lee Wellard is a former teacher of Applied Human Physiology and Nutrition and has undergone extensive study in the field of Holistic Medicine and Herbal Medicine. He is currently based near Lexington, KY, where he and his wife Amy operate the AMERICAN HERB SHOPPE, whilst using his knowledge as a Master Herbalist and Naturopath as an adjunct teacher at the International Institute of Original Medicine in Virginia, and through hosting natural remedies seminars and giving private health consultations. 

After his wife developed a serious case of insomnia which lasted over 6 years, Lee began a deeper dive into the world of herbal medicine in an attempt to find an effective remedy. The discovery of a powerful herb that reversed his wife's condition eventually resulted in a deeper study into the world of plant medicine and the development of the AMERICAN HERB SHOPPE in 2017. 

As President and founder of the A.H.S. Lee now has extensive experience in giving personal health consultations, conducting herbal remedy seminars in over 20 of the 54 US States, and formulating unique herbal products without the use of alcohol.
